Summary: for an “ala carte”, “upscale” restaurant almost everything was sub par. I got lobster mac and cheese ($8.00) It was warm and fine but not outstanding. It had a small amount of butter and a few pieces of crumbled bacon. My husband’s was supposed to be “loaded”. The sides - the baked potatoes ($4.00) were hot but served with one small serving of butter - had to ask for more butter twice. My friend was told that she got the last piece of prime rib- thus, it was the end of the rib which was overdone and not juicy at all. However, he did not think the beef was tenderloin because it was tough and over-cooked. The problem - there is no way it would melt on the fish as my fish was cold! My husband’s pappardelle was warm (better that the cold fish but now piping hot). I had ordered a “sauce” for $2.00 more - herbed butter. My walleye fish was very thin - it appeared that it had been filleted length-wise because my friend’s fish was exactly the same shape and very thin. In the meantime, our friends went back to the bar to get another drink because our waitress was nowhere to be found. ($28.00) 20- 30 minutes later they arrived, cold. We waited at least 15 - 20 minutes for them but both were delicious.Ģ of us ordered the walleye fish, ($24.00) one beef tip pappardella, ($25.00)and one prime rib, medium. We ordered 2 chopped salads ($10.00 each) and 2 Caesar wedges ($10.00 each). It was the same table - just hadn’t been cleared yet.įinally seated, our waitress appeared in a reasonable amount of time and took our drink orders. She took our names again and said it would be a few minutes until they cleared the table. Deja vu!!!! It was as though we had never checked in. About 15 minutes later, we checked with the hostess.
